1. SAFA on Wednesday announced Belgian Hugo Broos as the new head coach of Bafana Bafana

What do you make of this appointment?

2. Speaking of Bafana Bafana coaches

On Thursday SAFA officially confirmed the departure of Ntseki following a meeting in which the parties reached an agreement to ‘amicably’ terminate the contract.

“The South African Football Association (SAFA) together with coach Molefi Ntseki have officially agreed to part ways amicably, following the senior national team’s failure to qualify for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon),” read a statement from the association.

“SAFA would like thank Ntseki for his contribution to the association over the years.”

How would you summarise Ntseki’s tenure as Bafana Bafana?

3. On Tuesday, Kaizer Chiefs lost – again. This time to 14th placed TTM,

what did you make of the game and do you think Kaizer Chiefs will finish in the Top 8 this season?

Same story for Kaizer Chiefs, mistakes lead to goals, We can just cut my audio from what I said about them last time they lost…

Will they make the Top 8?

4. Another struggling Soweto giants Orlando Pirates have only won three of their last 10 games in all competitions,

Is it time for Orlando Pirates to let go of their coach?

5. Let’s take a flight overseas where both Manchester City and Chelsea won their Uefa Champions League semi-final games 2-0 against PSG and Real Madrid respectively.

City won their tie 4-1 against the Parisians whilst The Blues won theirs 3-1 against Los Blancos

What did you make of both semi-final games?

6. Jose Mourinho will take over as Italian Serie A side Roma head coach next season,

After his disappointing showing at Spurs, why do you think Roma hired Jose?

7. Quick Hits!

7.1 Going into the final four games of the season, Sundowns are on 54, whilst 2nd placed Amazulu are on 50 but Sundowns have a game in hand, It’s looking more likely that Downs are going to win it all, or do you still think Amazulu could spring a surprise?

7.2 Manchester United will meet Villareal in the Europa League final after both teams overcame AS Roma and Arsenal respectively

Have they deserved finalists?

7.3 Weighing in on SAFA appointing Hugo Broos as Bafana Bafana coach, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi said [quote] I think we have had too many foreign coaches [close quote]

Does he have a point?

7.4 CAF announced on Thursday that the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers were postponed until September due to the global Covid-19 pandemic

Besides the pandemic, should this be seen as a good or bad thing for Bafana Bafana and their preparations?

7.5 In four months at Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel has now beaten Zinedine Zidane, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Diego Simeone twice, José Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti! And without conceding a single goal either in those seven matches.

His contract is until the end of the season…

Should they just give him the new contract now even before the champions league final?

7.6 Pep Guardiola dedicated Manchester City’s Champions League semi-final win to former players like Joe Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany & David Silva saying [quote] “I want to share it with all of them because without them it can not be possible to be here.” [close quote]

Is it a big deal or not a big deal that he didn’t mention Yaya Toure?

Top 10 Reasons Lionel Messi Is Leaving Barcelona

Messi’s contract at Barcelona comes to an end and the conclusion of the 2020/2021 season. PSG have offered Lionel Messi a gigantic contract to lure him away from Barcelona. Here are the reasons why Messi will leave Barca.

1. New Challange

Lionel Messi relocated to Spain to join Barcelona when he was 13 years old. He was in Barcelona before his voice broke and before he knew what porn was. That’s a long time.

Lionel Messi has won everything with Barcelona. It’s time for him to find a new challenge elsewhere.

2. GOAT argument

The Lionel Messi Cristiano Ronaldo Greatest Of All Time Debate (GOAT) debate has been a hot one in bars, barbershops, and nail spas for a number of years.

When the Ronaldo Stans play the He Has Done It In More Than One League card the Messi supporters do not have a comeback. Cristiano Ronaldo has dominated the English, Spanish and Italian leagues whilst Messi has only conquered the Spanish Laliga.

Look, you’d be an idiot to think Messi wouldn’t crush it in another league but most of us are idiots and Messi knows that. Doing it in another country would pretty much seal his GOAT case.

3. Barcelona’s financial situation

Barcelona are broke. Well, relatively speaking. They owe a lot of money. Barcelona are $1.3 billion in debt

This limits them in the amount of money they can offer him and the quality of players they can bring in.

4. PSG’s Crazy Offer

Whilst Barcelona are broke, PSG are far from it. Last week they apparently made Lionel Messi an offer he can’t refuse. We don’t know the numbers yet but word on the internet streets is signing their contract would make him the highest-paid footballer and then some.

5. Neymar and Mbappe

A move to PSG would see him play with two of the best players on planet earth after him.

6. Champions League

The last time Barcelona won the Champions League I was still considered to be young, masks weren’t in fashion and, Iggy Azalea had a hit song. It was 2015, a much simpler time. When you could stand close enough to people to smell their breath when they talked.

Barcelona have not been able to win the prestigious trophy in European football since then. And to tell the truth, they haven’t looked like a team that could. Cristiano Ronaldo has five Champions League winners medals Lionel Messi has three.

7. Barcelona may need to rebuild

Every club gets to a stage where they press the reset button. Barcelona are in debt and their best players are a thousand years old. The future does look bright with players like Ansu Fati and Pedri. But, Messi is old he doesn’t have time to wait for those guys to hit their prime.

8. No relationship with the board

Lionel Messi has never liked the Barcelona hierarchy. This is the only way he is similar to you and me in that he hates his bosses.

9. No winning project

If we compare Barcelona to the best teams in Europe they are definitely in the top 10. But, I’m not sure I would put them in the top 5.

They aren’t at that level now, they don’t have much money so they won’t be able to buy players to take them to that echelon any time soon.

10. We’d like to see him play for another team

This is more about us than it is about him. We, as fans, would like to see Messi wear another jersey. Barcelona will always be his home and we have seen the best of him there but FIFA can’t be the only place we see him play for another team.

We’d like to see if he could be as good in another system in another country.

[Video] Kylian Mbappé and PSG Manager Thomas Tuchel Relationship Deteriorating

After being substituted in PSG’s past couple of games, Kylian Mbappé reached his boiling point and lashed out at coach Thomas Tuchel on the touchline for everybody (supporters, Zinadine Zidane, and VAR) to see. Word is he may be looking for a way out of PSG (aka Azkaban) like his teammate and pal Neymar.

UEFA Champions League: Manchester United Outclassed, Outplayed, Outmatched, Out EVERYTHING By PSG

PSG prove too good for Manchester United as they hammer the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was handed his first defeat as Manchester United manager by a PSG side that was a class above his side.

“First half, both teams looked at each other, and there really wasn’t too much in it. But when they got the first goal … it was a poor goal to give away … but then they got the momentum and started to control the game. ” said Solskjaer
