Kaizer Chiefs needed extra-time to defeated third tier outfit The Magic FC 3-0 to advance to the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals.
Nobody gave Magic FC a prayer when it was announced that Kaizer Chiefs would be their next opponents in the Nedbank Cup. They are a small ABC Motsepe side whose payroll can be handled by Khama Billiat salary alone.

Chiefs started well and should have scored early in the game but their finishing was disastrous, to say the least. The second half came and went it looked like Magic FC could do the unthinkable and take the mighty Kaizer Chiefs to a penalty shootout. In the last minute of extra time, Kaizer Chiefs won a penalty. Cardoso converted, two more goals were scored in the five minutes of extra time.
Cape Town City 3-0 Highlands Park

Three second-half goals on Friday night saw Cape Town City through to a comfortable 3-0 win over Highlands Park in a Nedbank Cup last-16 tie.
Cape Town City made light work of what is a good Highlands Park team. Kermit Erasmus was too much to handle for the Highlands Park defence.
