Orlando Pirates dropped points in the league when they drew 1-1 with Baroka FC last night. They have effectively ruined their chances of winning the Absa Premiership title this season.
You know when you are sleeping, around 3 a.m. in the early morning, then a mosquito starts flying around your ear to irritate that shit out of you.
You cover yourself with your blanket but you can still hear it. So you just jump out of bed (pissed) switch on the light, wanting to bash the mosquito’s guts on the wall with the sole of your Carvela but then… Silence… It seems as though the mosquito has disappeared or left your room through the tiny crevice under the door. You switch the light off, get back into the blankets – 4 seconds later the mosquito is back again this time you can hear it laughing.
I hate that shit.
Baroka has morphed into Orlando Pirate’s mosquito. They lost against them in the Telkom Knockout final last month and now the 13th placed Bakgaga held Pirates to a draw in the league.
Baroka scored in 13th minute before Bucs managed to equalize with 7 minutes of regulation to go.

Summary of the game
- Orlando Pirates have possession
- They create an opportunity to score
- They don’t score
- Baroka player act injured
- Repeat.

Baroka scored as early as the 13th minute through a fantastic goal by Matome Mabeba.
After the goal, every Baroka player seemed to have picked up an injury, they took turns to hit the deck after every 5 minutes. Elvis Chipezeze being the player who needed the most attention as he spent the majority of the game on his backside.

“We had a lot of knocks on the pitch,” Baroka coach Wedson Nyirenda told SuperSport after the game.
“But the referee was thinking we were doing it deliberately hence the last one he made a blunder because he was supposed to attend to the player and if there’s nothing then we continue.
“I got the report that the boy passed out so if he died on that pitch then we’re not being protected.”

Orlando Pirates Impotent Front Line
Highlights from Orlando Pirates attackers last night:
Don’t Orlando Pirates have a finishing coach on their payroll? It’s either he isn’t doing his job or the forwards aren’t good enough.
Orlando Pirates aren’t likely to win the league.
If their lacklustre finishing in front of goal continues Orlando Pirates have 0 chance of winning the league. Yes, they are 20+ games unbeaten but they have drawn too many games they should have won. Orlando Pirates are second on the log standings with 32 points, two points behind Bidvest Wits and only one point Sundowns (who have three games in hand.)
Fellow league contenders Wits and Sundowns have a far more ruthless attack and usually win games they play well in. Apart from Pule, Shonga, and Lorch who are the goals going to come from? Draws are going to be the detriment of Orlando Pirates title hopes and the draw yesterday sealed their fate.
